Children’s Centres are developed so that children aged 0-5 years and their families and carers can benefit from a range of professional services, activities and support, in a convenient location.

Some of the services will be at different venues, but normally within the local community.

A Children’s Centre is a ‘One Stop Shop’ for information, advice and services.
It provides a network of all services within the community offering:

  • Childcare
  • Expert advice and healthcare
  • Family fun and meeting people
  • Links to training and job opportunities
  • Parenting and family support
